In Russia they will test the system of air traffic control of unmanned aircraft
If companies that provide services using unmanned vehicles will begin to satisfy at least half of all those who need their services, one day we will not be able to go out without seeing a few drones above our heads. Rapid development of unmanned aerial vehicles dictates the need to create a system for monitoring their flights.
The testing of such a system will take place in Russia already this year. It will be based on the ground infrastructure created by the engineers of the Russian Space Systems Company, which is part of the ROSKOSMOS.
Thanks to the system, mass safe use of thousands of UAVs in the airspace will become possible. According to its developers, the created ground infrastructure will record the parameters of UAVs, automatically route safe routes, process the received information and broadcast it among users using cellular, satellite and VHF transmitters.
According to the plan of the developers, the control system will significantly reduce the risks for UAV owners, and already in the near future will create the ground for the formation of the industry of insurance of drones.
A similar project has been developed in the USA for several years with the participation of NASA.
