In Japan, a duel of giant manned robots was completed: the show and pathos won

Duel of the Year

The long-awaited battle of huge combat robots of American and Japanese production took place approximately the way it was intended. During three rounds Kuratas from Suidobashi managed to win a natural victory, get the change and be defeated by Eagle Prime from MegaBots. None of the people were hurt, which can not be said about their feelings.

The battle turned out to be more spectacular than the critics expected, but the organizers persistently remain silent about how long the battle actually lasted – two hours or two days? Dozens of cameramen, thousands of frames, a lot of conditionally-staged moments during the battle. Perhaps, it is necessary immediately to rename this direction in “wrestling robots”.

Duel of the Year

Of course, poor road performance and maneuverability of the machines could not be concealed even by the skilful editing of the video. However, the destructions created by the robots were not just real – many times the film crew in the true sense escaped by flight. And invariably all the actors returned to their positions, as they say, “show must go on”.

Officially, the victory was awarded to the Americans, after their Eagle Prime, with its chain saw, destroyed the finiteness of the Japanese robot, depriving it of the opportunity to fight. In fact, there was a constant crisis of tactical thinking, both teams were talking about secret receptions, but they could not apply them. Or they did not dare – instead of a desperate, deadly battle, the audience saw almost a theatrical performance.
